Thankfully, it seems as though my ire regarding the Rainbow Six Vegas 2 pre-order bonuses was a little harsh. Now the game's out, it turns out that the infamous gun and map for pre-ordering from different retailers only require good old-fashioned cheat codes to unlock; codes I'm happy to present to you now.
Comcast Event MLG Multiplayer Map
Step 1 - Go to the Main Menu of Vegas 2
Step 2 - Select “Extras”.
Step 3 - Select “Comcast Gift”.
Step 4 - Enter the code “Comcast Faster"
The map unlocks, and the Comcast option disappears from Extras. TAR-21 assault rifle
Step 1 - When you are customizing your character (changing guns + clothing):
Step 2 - (Hold RB) Down, Down, Up, Up, X, B, X, B, Y, Up, Up, Y. Use the D-pad for the directions.
Step 3 - You should get a confirmation message. Back out of the guns screen, go back in, the TAR should be unlocked.
The TAR-21 can also be unlocked by levelling up your Marksman skill in the ACES system. There's also one more map. This one's a remake of the previous game's Streets map, and it's not an unlock but actual downloadable content that will swallow up some 98MB of your hard drive (or memory unit, if you swing that way). Step 1 - Go to Main Menu of Vegas 2
Step 2 - Select "Extras"
Step 3 - Log into your UBI account via menu, or create one if you need to (just supply a password and confirm it.)
The map will now download in the Xbox Guide like any normal DLC. Thanks to GameFAQs and the 360Arcadians forumers for supplying the info; I'm just collating it here for easy reference. Now go and enjoy this fantastic game. |
